Health portal imedo from HHL-alumni Christian Angele and Julia Derndinger secured a major cooperation in December. They are now exclusive partner of the German medical doctors association (Deutscher Arztverband), and are able to offer their services for the 80.000 members of the association.

Betreut.de from HHL-alumnus Steffen Zoller is Germany’s biggest portal for care and assistance. The Privatesportsale GmbH from HHL-alumni Albert Schwarzmeier and Erik Pfannmöller offers several platforms in the sporting goods market, including pure-breed e-commerce and social commerce offerings. Both are now shortlisted as one of the top 100 companies globally.

Betreut.de wins “Kopf schlägt Kapital”-competition:

HHL-alumnus Steffen Zoller and his company betreut.de are one of the winners of the “Kopf schlägt Kapital” competition sponsored by Prof. Faltin in Berlin. Prof. Faltlin is one of the very early promoters of entrepreneurship in Germany and also hosts one of the biggest events on the topic, the yearly entrepreneurship summit with over 1000 participants.

SMILE-initiative receives follow-on funding:

The SMILE initiative, a cooperation between HHL, the University of Leipzig, the Helmholtz-Zentrum für Umweltforschung and now also with AKAD, received another funding to support Entrepreneurship in Leipzig for the coming years. In the past, the Chair of Finance with Prof. Schwetzler, Matthias Tischner and Alexander Knauer has been very successful in building up this initiative. With the new funding period, Prof. Pinkwart and the Chair of Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship will take over the helm and continue with this high-profile collaboration.
